Covid Update:  Covid has changed how we interact as a community but has not changed our purpose as a school.  We are happy to provide an enriching year full of individual lessons, group classes and school community events in this unique 2020-2021 school year. Our students are engaging and progressing online with their private teachers and spending time with each other at weekly online group classes. New students have joined our program and have successfully begun their instrument journeys completely online. We look forward to the day we can meet in person again but for now we are learning, thriving and building our school community in this temporary online world.  Music has kept us together while needing to stay apart.

First foster the heart, then help the child acquire ability.

Our Suzuki community offers an encouraging atmosphere to nurture every child’s full potential and love of music.  We provide Suzuki-method instruction on violin, viola, cello, guitar and flute to families in the greater Ottawa-Gatineau area.

This year we had to be creative in order to play together as a community while maintaining Covid related physical distancing. Many thanks to our AD, Keite Gularte, for her vision and leadership in putting this project together:

Registration

The SuzukiMusic school year runs from the beginning of September to the beginning of June.  New students may register at any time.  We look forward to welcoming you to our school community.

School Events

Every year our school community undertakes a variety of events, from casual play ins to recitals and formal concerts.  Each event gives our students the opportunity to apply their skills and experience the joy of making music for others.
