The Suzuki Association of Ontario (SAO) is the only Canadian chapter affiliate of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. They proudly support the teachers, students and families involved in the Suzuki community in Ontario. Each year, they host a two-day conference for Suzuki teachers and families from across the province.
This year, they are thrilled to be hosting the 2024 SAO Conference: Root Connections, right here in Ottawa for the first time since 2016. The SuzukiMusic Faculty highly encourages you to take advantage of this opportunity to attend this province-wide gathering of the Suzuki community from the comfort of your home town!
When? Saturday November 2nd
Where? University of Ottawa
What? Each student will receive 3 hours of high-level musical instruction:
- Suzuki Group Class: join with students from across the province who play the same instrument as you and are at a similar level to enjoy a group class of the Suzuki repertoire, taught by a highly-trained and experienced Suzuki teacher from outside of Ottawa!
- Play-In: join with students from across the province who play the same instrument as you to play some Suzuki tunes together! Be inspired by the more advanced students playing pieces you might play someday, and enjoy playing some Suzuki review pieces with a big group of students!
- Enrichment Class: choose from one of the three enrichment classes below (follow links for more details about each class):
